Fuji-San

I thought I'd post a photo from my older Sony camera. I must warn you that the clarity isn't as good but I think the shot is ok. Please tell me what you think. I went off and cropped a whole bunch out of the photo as well so it'd perspective looks more panaramic.

Fantastic job of the cropping there mate. Cant believe I climbed that mountain!
I love the balance between the mountain and the clouds on the right. An theres just enough water there to really give you a sense of scale too. Quality looks fine to me mate, and nicely comoposed.

Yeah, I have to probs with the quality. The sky looks great, especially with those cloud formations; I agree with Stu, the water puts things into perspective and gives a good idea of scale without overpowering the shot. I like how the horizon lines also below the bottom third of the shot, it's great framing.

Looks like you took this from where I used to live mate. Kawaguchiko? The cropping you did works well for this photo and gives it that panoramic look.

An excellent piece of selective cropping, Fuji-san is, as all those climbed/been anywhere near it will attest, an incredibly imposing mountain. It absolutely dominates the environment to such an extent that everything surrounding it is simply dwarfed. But you've brought other elements into the frame wonderfully well. The sky alone is a beauty and holds it own within the frame, almost as if its saying "yeah you're high, but I'm higher ;-)" The blues of the sea and sky sandwiching both the mountain and the village is very efective and I love the deep greens of the trees. Is that a boat btw? It looks like one for sure, and that looks like a dude in it...thats the icing on the cake right there.
