This is the famous crosswalk in Shibuya. If you've ever seen "Lost in Translation" or "Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift" then you'll know this corner pretty well.
What do you all think?? Cropped too much??

I made a similar comment about this before I think on another picture...but I think the cropping is great because it emphasises the compression, which Japan is all about. So many different people moving in so many different directions at once, in such a small space. This is really really good. The title is great. Have heard Japanese people use exactly the same words. Love the way the red stop sign just creeps into the frame, when there is so much movement.

This brings back memories of being there several years ago and hearing a missionary shouting through a loudspeaker about "kurisuto" at the captive audience.
I'm always fascinated by this kind of crosswalk and wonder how best to capture it. I'm not completely taken with this one, but I'm sorry I don't have more constructive criticisms. Perhaps it's just too small on my screen to really impact me. I think it would make a great large format print, though. And maybe I'd like the cropping to be a bit less tight on the bottom edge. It's as though I'd like to see more of the scene, or the entirety of it. I remember being impressed by a shot of a Tokyo crosswalk in the movie Babel; maybe there are some clues there. You may have to wait as apparently it won't be released in Japan until next year.

Great shot mate. Nice cropping to make the image feel more intense.

Qiuet little place.

Its a difficult location to capture but I think its a job well done. I think the cropping is effective as a wider shot would lessen the 'busy' aspect. My memory of this place however is even more hectic, maybe the time/season?
