i can feel their dedication to wad they re painting... wonderful shot. but space behind them feels kinda awkard...

@benjamin: Thanks for the comment...I wasn't really trying for the focus to be on the background but maybe I should try and crop it.

It is obvious that these two are so totally focussed on what they are doing. Feels like it would take a lot to disturb them. For me the space behind them being out of focus emphasises their concentration...

@Untitled: Thanks mate, I was going for more of the focus to be on the painters and not the background. maybe I could have cropped it a little more to emphasize it more.

hmm..I think you should choose an angle that will make them look more apart,then both of them would be very appealing.However,this is a great shot ! =)

A hearty welcome back to Japan and to Am3 Kelly. glad ur back on board. hope you feel refreshed after your trip. bet (or should i say 'hope') you brought back afew fully loaded memory sticks too! looking fwd to seeing that series.
Anyway, thats a pretty stylish old oba-san you've captured. nice dof...... or is it some handy blur work in PS? ;-) like the b&w too.
