This building was a restaurant on Southbank in the heart of Melbourne. It wasn't much to look at if you were just walking up to it. However as I was walking past I looked up and saw the architecture. I thought the darkened sky and the lines of this building would work a treat on camera.

I think this image is really excellent. I love the lines and it looks very "clean". Did you use the tripod?

@Lucca's caf?: thanks for your visit mate. i took this without a tripod actually. the iso was high enough to get some clarity hand held. the building was very clean and the lines add to the effect. all i did was sharpen it up a little.
Technically superb. You must have been pleased? Southbank ia a worthy place to lurk for the photo op. Lucky the coffee is good down there.

@Helen: your right about the coffee. and i was pleased with the picture. im glad others are pleased also. my fave place for coffee is "cafe Grecco" the double espresso and chocolate cake is to die for!!!
I am not sure about the cafe and their coffee because i have never been there. I like the photo, good perspective, i like the lines as well and lighting is great. Good sharpening, i like the reflection of the lights in the columns.

@Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Thanks mate..I was going for uniformity with this picture and I think I got it pretty uniform. I really enjoy sharpening my pictures.
Great angle to shoot from and nice framing here, mate. Really captures the architecture nicely. Top-job!

@Stu: Thanks mate...I was hoping for the night sky to be a little darker but then I'd need a tripod and I just couldn't be bothered carring one that day.
I love this building. You captured great detail on it.

@Angry Buddha: Thanks you very much.
Great detail shot Kelly. Shot a good time of day too, captured the natural/artificial light well.

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks mate, I do wish it was a little darker that day though to really punch out the detail of the building.
Very beautiful. Bravo!

Abstract structures make for some great shots in my opinion - nicely done.

Nice crisp lines! I love it!

I do like the cold lines of this building. I think the warm tones work well against the cold steel feeling of the architecture.
