If you're reading the heading it's what I wanted with this picture. I took this on a whim actually and the seagull just happened to be in the middle of the sun. I realise how dangerous this is for the eyes and the camera but I just couldn't help myself.
I've really messed with the lighting curve on this one to make it look sultry. I hope I got that effect.

you got OK, it is difficult shot, did you try to put a softer filter only on the sun and experiment with that? The reason for this is that the light comes too strong in my eyes even now. Keep on shooting Cb.

It looks like a painting. I love the bird right in the middle of the sun...very nice shot.

I agree with Jen, it does look like a painting ! Maybe you could try using the dodge/burn tool in photoshop to darken the sun just a little without effecting the rest of the photo.

Man it doesnt look like a photo, and I mean that in a great way. Echo the above regarding its similarity to a painting. Very nice effect.
