Kimono girl

Posted by Kelly Photography (Tokyo, Japan) on 5 April 2007 in People & Portrait.

I always wonder what people are praying for when they come to a Shrine. Is it for health, money or just for a good day? In this particular picture it was like stepping back in time. There were all these men being blessed and welcomed into the Shrine's family and then this lonely lady paying her respects in a Kimono.

I wish I had better lighting for this picture and a little more time to compose it. But there was a salary man that walked up right next to the lady which kind of ruined the picture.

Anyway this was the best that I could come up with.
